Materials Handler – Leeds
Permanent Position | Fixed Shift Patterns (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am)
We’re looking for a skilled Materials Handler to join a busy site in Leeds. This is a hands-on role working with heavy steel, ensuring materials are safely moved, stored, and ready for production. As a Materials Handler, you’ll play a key part in keeping production running smoothly and safely.
The Role:
- Safely offloading, sorting, and storing materials in line with production schedules.
- Using correct lifting and slinging techniques to handle heavy steel.
- Transporting materials across site while following strict health & safety rules.
- Making sure steel sections are available in the correct order for production.
- Outdoor, physical work – you’ll be working in all weather conditions as a Materials Handler.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Materials Handler or in a similar industrial role.
- Strong health & safety awareness in a manufacturing setting.
- Physically fit and confident working outdoors.
- FLT licence – essential.
- Overhead crane experience desirable
- Experience working with heavy steel and large components.
