An established and growing manufacturing business based on the outskirts of York is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to strengthen their finance function. This is a key role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, offering genuine variety, commercial exposure, and the opportunity to influence decision-making across operations. The business offers hybrid working with a minimum of two days per week on site and a competitive salary of up to £50,000.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts with commentary and analysis
- Partner with operational teams to support cost control, margin analysis, and performance reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across manufacturing operations
- Support and contribute to finance-led and cross-functional projects, including process improvement, system enhancements, and operational initiatives
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, systems, and reporting
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, stock, and production reporting
- Part-qualified or qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, or qualified by experience
- Confident working with ERP or manufacturing finance systems
- Commercial mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders
