An established engineering and manufacturing business in the Malton area is recruiting an Electronics Test Technician to join its growing production and testing team on a permanent, days-based role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with electronics testing, assembly or fault‑finding experience who enjoys hands‑on technical work and wants to develop within a specialist engineering environment.
You will work alongside experienced engineers, testing and supporting high‑specification electronic products used in demanding applications, with full training and recognised industry certifications provided.
Days Only: Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive - dependent on experience. Overtime available.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out bench testing of PCB assemblies to technical documentation.
- Conduct pressure testing of specialist electronic products.
- Support fault finding and basic repair of PCB assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
- Maintain accurate test records and product documentation.
- Assist with wiring and assembly work where required.
- Inspect and check products manufactured within production.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities on specialist products.
- Work to ISO 9001 quality standards and engineering procedures.
- Work closely with experienced engineers to develop technical capability and career progression.
Qualifications:
- Qualified in Electronic Engineering, or have practical experience in electronics testing, assembly or fault finding.
- Able to read and interpret electronic circuit diagrams.
- Experienced using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters or waveform generators.
- Comfortable working from technical documentation and wiring diagrams.
- Confident using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
- Detail‑focused, reliable and keen to develop technical skills within engineering manufacturing.
- A full UK driving licence holder would be advantageous.
