5 Axis CNC Miller required to join a precision engineering business producing high‑precision, close‑tolerance components in a low‑volume, made‑to‑order environment. Working within a cell‑driven setup, you will program, set, and run 5‑axis CNC milling machines, supporting quality, accuracy, on‑time delivery across regulated sector work. The workshop operates modern palletised and robotic‑loaded 5‑axis machines, including Brother, Matsuura, and DMG.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set, and operate 5‑axis CNC milling machines
  • Prepare tooling, fixtures, workholding, probes, and offsets
  • Load and verify programs and setup sheets
  • Carry out first‑off and in‑process inspection
  • Optimize toolpaths, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies
  • Monitor tool wear and surface finish
  • Work to engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Maintain production and quality documentation
  • Work safely and to process

About You

  • Experienced CNC Miller with ideally 5‑axis machining background
  • 3‑axis can may be considered with strong experience in a precision background
  • Confident using CAM software or editing programs at machine level
  • Comfortable machining stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, and engineering alloys
  • Used to producing close‑tolerance components
  • Regulated sector experience such as medical or aerospace advantageous

Location & Commute

Based in West Leeds–LS5 (Kirkstall). Commutable from Pudsey, Bramhley, Horsforth, Farsley, and Armley. Good access via the A65 and Leeds in‑ring road.
