Responsibilities of the Audit Manager job include:
- Managing a portfolio of audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Taking overall responsibility for the delivery of audit work
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
- Reviewing audit and accounts work completed by junior team members
- Supporting, mentoring and developing members of the wider team
- Planning workloads and ensuring assignments are completed within agreed deadlines
- Identifying and resolving technical issues throughout the audit process
- Liaising with clients and providing practical advice where appropriate
- Working closely with Partners and senior colleagues on more complex assignments
- Supporting the wider practice across accounts and general practice work where required
- Identifying opportunities to improve client service and develop relationships
Requirements of the Audit Manager job include:
- Strong previous audit experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Previous experience managing audit assignments and client relationships
- ACA/ACCA qualified or strong qualified-by-experience candidates considered
