Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for customer service and continuous improvement? We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation for an IT Technician to join their collaborative and forward-thinking ICT team. This is a temporary, full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week on-site, with an hourly rate of £14–£15, depending on experience.
In this varied role, you’ll provide technical support in line with IT Service Management best practices, working across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line issues. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining day-to-day ICT operations, supporting end-users, and contributing to key projects that shape the future of digital services across the organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver high-quality ICT support, resolving incidents and service requests efficiently.
- Provide 1st–3rd line support across a wide range of systems and hardware.
- Contribute to ICT projects, supporting implementation and system development.
- Maintain and support ICT hardware and applications, including system administration tasks.
- Manage access permissions, ensuring appropriate authorisation and security protocols.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and third-party suppliers to resolve issues.
- Produce user guides, documentation, and provide training when needed.
- Provide cover and support to the ICT Service Desk, ensuring clear communication and a customer-first approach.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a multi-level IT support role (1st–3rd line).
- Strong troubleshooting skills across both hardware and software environments.
- Understanding of ITIL principles or service management best practices.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, collaborative approach to service delivery.
