Are you an experienced Financial Controller available at short notice and looking for your next interim challenge? Castle Employment Group is working on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in the Hull area to recruit an Interim Financial Controller. Initially offered on a three-month fixed-term contract, this role is expected to extend and offers the opportunity to join a stable business during an exciting period of development.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will support a small finance team while ensuring the smooth running of the finance function and providing accurate, timely financial information to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts and associated reporting
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
  • Provide financial analysis and insight to the CFO and wider leadership team
  • Assist with month-end and year-end processes
  • Support and mentor a small finance team
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and systems
  • Work closely with operational stakeholders across the business
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls and reporting deadlines
About You

We’re looking for someone who can quickly establish themselves within the business and make an immediate impact. You'll ideally have:

  • ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager
  • Strong management accounting and cash flow experience
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to work both strategically and operationally
  • Experience improving finance systems or processes would be highly advantageous
  • Manufacturing or engineering experience would be beneficial but is not essential
