A growing and fast‑paced manufacturing business based in East Yorkshire, commutable from York, Hull, Beverley and Market Weighton, is looking to appoint an HR Officer to join their team on a full‑time basis. The role offers Monday to Friday hours, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with a salary of up to £30,000 depending on experience. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy operational environment where no two days are the same. The role has become available due to continued business growth alongside an internal promotion within the team, creating an opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working within a hands‑on environment.

Working closely with the wider business, this role will support across HR administration, training coordination, payroll support, office management, and general business administration.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the day‑to‑day administration of the HR function
  • Maintaining accurate personnel and training records
  • Supporting managers with onboarding and induction processes for new employees
  • Assisting with the coordination and delivery of training programmes
  • Managing payroll administration and maintaining associated records
  • Supporting office management activities including supplies, facilities, and general coordination
  • Creating and managing spreadsheets, documents, reports, and purchase orders
  • Maintaining accurate business records and internal systems
  • Supporting multiple departments with administration as required
  • Managing incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional manner
  • Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements
Ideal Candidate
  • Has at least 2 years’ experience within HR administration, HR coordination, or office administration
  • Is interested in developing within HR and potentially studying towards CIPD Level 3
  • Enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and can manage multiple priorities
  • Is organised, resilient, and able to work using their own initiative
  • Has strong administration and communication skills
  • Is confident working across multiple teams and supporting operational departments
