We are recruiting for a HR Manager to join a well-established business based in Driffield on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is a hands-on, operational HR role, working closely with a small HR team and supporting managers and leaders across the business.

You’ll take the lead on employee relations, HR policy and day-to-day people matters, while also providing senior-level advice and guidance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing senior HR advice and support to operational managers and leadership teams
  • Taking ownership of complex employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management
  • Reviewing, updating and writing HR policies and procedures
  • Coaching managers on effective people management and ensuring HR processes are applied consistently
  • Working closely with and supporting the development of a small HR team
  • Supporting organisational change and wider people initiatives
  • Partnering with operational leaders to understand workforce challenges and future resource requirements
  • Using HR data and insights to identify trends, skills gaps and areas for improvement
  • Supporting employee engagement, wellbeing, culture and inclusion initiatives
  • Working collaboratively with recruitment and Learning & Development to support wider business requirements

What we’re looking for

  • Recent experience within a Senior HR Business Partner, HR Manager or similar generalist HR role
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' recent HR experience
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practiceProven experience managing complex employee relations casesExperience writing, reviewing and implementing HR policiesA confident, hands-on approach with the ability to operate both independently and as part of a small teamStrong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to coach and challenge managers when requiredExperience within manufacturing, engineering, construction or another operational environment would be advantageousCIPD qualified or working towards a relevant qualificationA full UK driving licenceAvailable immediately or at short notice to start a 6-month FTC
