An established and growing manufacturing business near Driffield, East Yorkshire, is looking for an HR Generalist to join its HR team on a full-time, permanent basis, with a salary of up to £35,000.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with recruitment experience who wants to broaden their generalist knowledge and play an active role in supporting managers and employees across the business.

You will take ownership of recruitment activity across a varied range of professional, technical and operational roles.

Working closely with hiring managers, you will help the business attract and secure the right people while providing a positive and consistent candidate experience.

Alongside recruitment, you will support the wider HR team with generalist activity and initiatives focused on employee engagement, retention, diversity and continued business growth.

  • What you will be doing
  • Managing recruitment activity from the initial briefing through to offer and onboarding
  • Partnering with hiring managers to understand their current and future recruitment needs
  • Supporting the attraction and selection of candidates across professional, technical and operational roles
  • Coordinating interviews, candidate communication and recruitment administration
  • Providing a high-quality experience for candidates and hiring managers
  • Supporting generalist HR activity across the employee lifecycle
  • Contributing to employee engagement, retention and diversity initiatives
  • Helping to improve HR and recruitment processes as the business continues to grow
  • Maintaining accurate employee and recruitment records
  • Supporting managers and employees with day-to-day HR queries
  • What we are looking for
  • Previous experience working within an HR environment, ideally gained over at least one to two years
  • Practical recruitment experience, either within an internal HR team or as part of a broader HR role
  • A genuine interest in developing a wider generalist HR career
  • Confidence communicating with managers, employees and candidates at different levels
  • Strong organisation and administration skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, professional and people-focused approach
  • CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 would be advantageous but is not essential
  • A willingness to work towards a CIPD qualification if not already held
