Are you passionate about working with children and supporting their development in a fun, nurturing environment? We’re looking for enthusiastic and caring Nursery Assistants to join our team across sites in York and Acomb. This is a flexible opportunity with a range of shift patterns available between 8am and 6pm. You’ll have the chance to cover across different sites, providing support on a long-term, day-to-day, part-time, or full-time basis to cover staff absences and sickness.
What you’ll do:
- Support nursery staff in delivering high-quality care and early years education
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children
- Assist with play activities, meal times, and daily routines
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are always met
About you:
- Caring, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting children’s development
- Flexible and adaptable, with availability to work a variety of shifts between 8–6
- Able to work across different nursery sites (York & Acomb)
- Experience in childcare or a relevant qualification is an advantage, but not essential – training can be provided
