Bee Health, one of the UK's leading manufacturers of vitamins, minerals and supplements, is looking for a motivated Trainee Assistant Buyer to join its growing Purchasing team. No buying or procurement experience is required.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is organised, eager to learn and looking for a long-term career with genuine progression. Bee Health will provide full training from experienced buyers and support you in studying towards a professional CIPS qualification. Whether you've recently finished college or university, have experience in administration, customer service, retail, logistics, manufacturing or are simply looking for a career change, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
- Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you'll receive full training while learning every aspect of the purchasing process.
- You'll support the team in ensuring raw materials, packaging and services are available to keep production running smoothly, gaining valuable commercial and supply chain experience along the way.
- Raising and managing purchase orders
- Supporting the planning of raw materials and packaging
- Liaising with suppliers and internal departments
- Monitoring outstanding orders and chasing deliveries
- Helping manage supplier performance
- Resolving invoice and purchase order queries
- Supporting sourcing activities and procurement projects
- Producing reports and maintaining purchasing records
- Working closely with Planning, Operations, Warehouse and Quality teams
Full training will be provided for every aspect of the role.
About You
- Wanting to build a long-term career in Purchasing or Supply Chain
- Eager to learn and develop
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Enjoys problem solving
- Confident communicator who enjoys working with people
- Can manage a varied workload
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Positive attitude and willing to learn
No previous buying experience is required. Experience in an office, manufacturing, warehouse, retail or customer service environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
