Bridlington £36,000 + Benefits Permanent Night Shift

Shift: Monday – Wednesday 6pm – 6am, Thursday 6pm – 12 midnight

Are you an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys driving performance, developing teams and taking ownership on the shop floor? This is an opportunity to join Bee Health, one of the UK’s leading vitamin, mineral and supplement manufacturers, supplying some of the world’s largest brands and retailers.

Working within the Manufacturing team, the Encapsulation Supervisor will oversee the night shift operation within the Encapsulation department, leading Operators and supporting production performance, quality, compliance and continuous improvement across the area. This role would suit someone with strong manufacturing leadership experience who enjoys being hands-on, improving processes and developing people within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the efficient running of the Encapsulation department during night shift operations
  • Leading, motivating and developing Encapsulation Operators
  • Ensuring products are produced safely, on time and right first time
  • Driving standards across GMP, hygiene, food safety and compliance
  • Supporting production planning, staffing and shift coordination
  • Managing product changeovers, start-ups and production paperwork
  • Supporting NPD and Existing Product Development trials
  • Working closely with Planning, Engineering, Technical and other departments
  • Driving continuous improvement, lean initiatives and efficiencies
  • Monitoring training, skills matrices and onboarding of new starters
  • Supporting absence management, appraisals and performance reviews
  • Taking ownership of departmental issues and driving solutions

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within manufacturing
  • FMCG, food manufacturing or regulated manufacturing experience would be advantageous
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Experience driving performance and managing teams on the shop floor
  • Good understanding of food safety, compliance and quality standards
  • Confident working across multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Someone proactive, hands-on and solutions focused
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to lead by example
