An established and growing manufacturing business in Bridlington is looking to appoint a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead production operations on a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving performance, developing teams and ensuring production targets are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Reporting into the Manufacturing Manager, you will lead a team of production operatives, ensuring daily production plans are achieved whilst maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, motivate and develop a team of production operatives
- Ensure production plans are achieved safely, efficiently and right the first time
- Monitor productivity, quality and operational performance
- Support training, coaching and development activities
- Manage attendance, performance and day-to-day people matters
- Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality and NPD teams
- Ensure production documentation is completed accurately and on time
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the department
- Take ownership of operational issues and implement effective solutions
We're looking for a strong people leader with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Shift Leader
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience managing performance and developing teams
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and quality standards
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical or another regulated manufacturing environment would be advantageous
- £36,000 salary
- Bonus scheme
- 4 on 4 off day shift pattern, 6am–6pm
