Are you an experienced Practice Accountant looking to join a well-established independent firm where you'll manage your own client portfolio, build long-term client relationships and work closely with supportive Directors? An established and highly respected accountancy practice in North Bradford is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to support its continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, taking ownership of their workload and becoming a trusted adviser to owner-managed businesses.
The Role:
Working as part of a friendly and collaborative team, you'll manage a varied portfolio of SME clients, taking responsibility for delivering a high-quality service across a range of accounting and tax matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of SME clients
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
- Preparing management accounts
- Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Reviewing VAT returns
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients
- Providing practical business advice and support
- Building long-term client relationships
- Supporting junior members of the team where appropriate
- Working closely with the Directors on client matters
About You:
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Strong accounts, tax and VAT knowledge
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and commercial approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team

- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Professionally qualified with strong practice experience
This opportunity is best suited to someone already working at Senior Accountant level. It is not a trainee or study support position.
