An established and successful organisation based in East Yorkshire is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its busy finance team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience who enjoys a varied role and is looking to join a stable and supportive working environment.

The Role

  • Posting sales and purchase invoices accurately onto the accounting system
  • Investigating and resolving unallocated transactions
  • Completing supplier statement reconciliations
  • Recording and reconciling monthly petty cash transactions
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations
  • Processing BACS payments to suppliers
  • Managing intercompany recharges and ensuring accurate allocation across entities
  • Supporting the wider finance team with general accounting duties as required

About You

  • Around 2–3 years' experience within an accounts or finance environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • A confident and professional telephone manner
  • The ability to investigate queries and follow them through to resolution
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing workloads and deadlines
  • Their own transport, as the location is not easily accessible by public transport
