We are recruiting for an Office Administrator to join a professional and friendly business in York. This is a varied role where you’ll be the go-to person for day-to-day administration, supporting colleagues and helping ensure the office runs smoothly. We’re looking for someone who is confident, organised and happy to take ownership of their workload, while becoming part of a close-knit team who genuinely enjoy working together.
Some of the Office Administrator responsibilities are:
- Acting as the first point of contact for incoming calls, clients and visitors
- Providing day-to-day administrative support, including letters, document formatting, scanning, printing and correspondence
- Arranging client and internal meetings, booking rooms and organising refreshments
- Supporting new client onboarding, requesting documentation and setting clients up on internal systems
- Maintaining accurate client records, documentation and databases
- Assisting with client engagement and disengagement processes, including issuing and chasing paperwork
- Supporting with company administration, including accounts documentation and Companies House submissions
- Managing incoming and outgoing post, deliveries, stationery and office supplies
- Liaising with contractors regarding general office maintenance and repairs
- Providing additional administrative support to colleagues and managers as required
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience within a busy office, administration or customer-facing environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with general administration, data entry and maintaining accurate records
- Friendly, approachable and confident communicating with people at all levels
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the administration function
- A genuine team player who enjoys being part of a close-knit working environment
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, earning £26,000 per annum.
