Role: Senior Accountant

Location: Mexborough

Salary: £38,000 – £48,000

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established and respected accountancy practice in Mexborough. The firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to manage a diverse client portfolio and play a key role in supporting the growth of the practice.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant role include:

• Managing a portfolio of clients, preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and tax computations
• Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Acting as the key client contact, providing advice and support
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members
• Reviewing work for accuracy, compliance, and presentation
• Identifying opportunities to enhance client service or introduce additional services

Requirements of the Senior Accountant role include:

• UK accountancy practice experience is essential
• ACA or ACCA qualified, or strong experience qualified by practice experience
• Confident managing client relationships and handling queries
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
• Positive, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team
