Early Years Nursery Assistants Needed – Flexible Roles in Scarborough
Looking for a rewarding role in childcare with flexibility to suit your schedule? We’re hiring Early Years Nursery Assistants to support a range of nurseries across Scarborough and nearby areas.
Location: Scarborough
Hours: Adhoc, Part-Time & Full-Time (Term Time Only available)
Pay Rate: £14.24 – £16.00 per hour (via PAYE)
The Role
You’ll be supporting young children aged 0–5 in a nurturing nursery environment, helping them learn, play, and grow. Duties include:
- Supporting planned activities and early years learning
- Helping create a safe, engaging, and inclusive setting
- Encouraging children’s development through play and interaction
- Assisting with everyday routines such as meals, naps, and outdoor time
- Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times
Shift Options
- 8:30am – 3:30pm
- 9:00am – 4:00pm
- 9:00am – 5:00pm
- 8:00am – 6:00pm
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting
- Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (preferred but not required)
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- A caring, enthusiastic, and reliable attitude
