Castle Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a beautiful, forward thinking nursery in Pocklington that is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. They are looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Room Lead to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Level 3 Early Years Educator who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role. You’ll be joining a nursery that places children’s curiosity, creativity and individuality at the heart of everything they do, while being supported by an experienced leadership team that is committed to helping you grow and develop.

The Role

  • Working within one of the nursery’s baby rooms, you will work alongside the Room Lead, Nursery Manager and Pedagogical Lead to deliver exceptional early years education.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Supporting the day to day running of the baby room
    • Helping to develop and deliver an engaging, child centred curriculum inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach
    • Creating meaningful learning experiences that reflect each child’s interests and development
    • Mentoring and supporting Early Years Educators to deliver outstanding practice
    • Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
    • Helping to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where every child can thrive

About You

  • We’re looking for someone who:
    • Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification or above, such as Early Years Educator, CACHE Level 3 or equivalent
    • Has experience working within an Early Years setting
    • Has a strong understanding of child development and high quality early years practice
    • Is passionate about the Reggio Emilia approach and child led learning
    • Has the confidence to support and inspire colleagues
    • Is enthusiastic, caring and committed to providing the very best outcomes for children
