We are currently recruiting an experienced and resilient Year 3 Teacher to work in a challenging primary school in Leeds from September 2026. This role is ideal for a teacher with a strong understanding of the transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2, who can raise attainment, establish high expectations, and provide consistent structure and support for pupils who may present additional behavioural, social, or learning needs.

Your responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Year 3 lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Support pupils transitioning into Key Stage 2 expectations, building independence and resilience
  • Establish clear routines, boundaries, and high behaviour expectations
  • Differentiating learning to support pupils with a range of needs, including SEND and SEMH
  • Use effective behaviour management strategies to create a focused learning environment
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
  • Track pupil progress and implement targeted interventions to raise attainment
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Year 3 or lower Key Stage 2
  • Strong behaviour management and resilience in challenging school settings
  • Secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and adaptability
