The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons across the curriculum, helping pupils to develop their confidence, skills and understanding. You will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, encouraging their participation and making a positive impact on their academic and personal development across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Create a positive, supportive learning environment where all pupils feel encouraged and able to thrive.
- Provide individual and small-group support to help pupils develop their skills, confidence and understanding.
- Build positive, collaborative relationships with pupils, teachers, staff and parents.
- Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
- Assist with classroom preparation, learning resources and activities to support effective teaching and learning.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable.
- A passion for supporting pupils’ learning and development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to encourage positive behaviour and manage classroom challenges.
- A flexible, patient and proactive approach.
