Castle Education is working with a supportive primary school in Knaresborough who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching and Learning Assistant.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to help children develop their knowledge, confidence and independence. You’ll work alongside the teaching team to support classroom learning, encourage pupil participation and ensure children receive the help they need to make progress.

What the Role Involves
- Supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 with their classroom learning.
- Assisting teachers with lessons, activities and learning resources.
- Helping individuals and small groups complete learning tasks.
- Encouraging pupils to develop confidence and independence.
- Promoting positive behaviour and respectful relationships.
- Supporting an inclusive classroom where all children feel valued.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- A caring, encouraging and adaptable personality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively with teachers and fellow support staff.
- A proactive approach to supporting learning and development.
- Reliability and a genuine enthusiasm for working in education.
