Castle Education works closely with primary schools across York and the surrounding areas and is supporting them with reliable, confident HLTAs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. This role is ideal for experienced teaching assistants, returners, or those seeking flexibility without stepping away from the classroom.
The role:
- Deliver lessons and learning activities under the guidance of teachers
- Support small groups or whole classes when needed
- Create a positive, well-managed learning environment
- Adapt confidently to different year groups and school settings
- Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies
- Provide brief end-of-day feedback to school staff

Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Recent experience working in a primary school
- Confidence supporting whole-class learning and small groups
