Flexible Education Support Worker – Nursery & SEN

£14.24–£16.00 per hour | York | Flexible hours | Part-time & Ad-hoc

Want work that fits around your life, rather than your life fitting around work? We’re looking for Education Support Workers to join our supply team, supporting nurseries, SEN settings and schools across York.

This could be perfect for you if you’re:

  • A student looking for work around your studies
  • A parent wanting flexible hours around family life
  • Looking for extra income alongside another job
  • Wanting to gain experience in education before starting your career
  • Looking for a better work-life balance
  • Between permanent roles and wanting something flexible

What makes this different?

You choose when you work. We have opportunities throughout the week, with shifts available anytime between 8am–6pm. You can take on additional hours when you want them without committing to a full-time role.

You’ll also have the opportunity to experience different settings and age groups, including:

  • Nursery & Early Years – supporting children’s development, play and daily routines.
  • SEN – supporting children and young people with additional needs, helping them engage in learning and develop confidence and independence.

What could you earn?

£14.24–£16.00 per hour. That’s approximately £113.92–£128 for an 8-hour day, or £56.96–£64 for a 4-hour shift.

What do you need?

For this role, you’ll need:

  • Level 2 Childcare qualification OR relevant SEN/support experience
  • Previous experience working with children or young people through employment, volunteering or placements
  • A caring, reliable and positive approach
  • A genuine interest in supporting children and young people

Level 3 Childcare or Early Years experience is desirable but not essential.

Some settings are accessible by walking or public transport, while others may require your own vehicle.

Ready for work that works around YOU? If you’re looking for flexibility, variety and the chance to build valuable experience, we’d love to hear from you.
