Role:Cover Supervisor – Secondary Education
Pay Rate:£110 – £150per day
Location: Hull & East Yorkshire

Could you confidently lead a secondary classroom and keep pupils focused on their learning?

Castle Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work with secondary schools across Hull and East Yorkshire as we continue to grow our relationships with schools and Multi Academy Trusts across the area.

As a Cover Supervisor, youdon’tneed to be a qualified teacher. Your role is to take responsibility for a class when their usual teacher is unavailable, deliver work that has already been set and create a positive environment where pupils can continue learning.
It’sa role that requires confidence,adaptabilityand good people skills.

We would particularly like to hear from experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates considering teaching, sports coaches, instructors, teachingassistantsand people with experience working with groups of young people.

What will you be doing?

  • Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4
  • Delivering pre-planned work and instructions
  • Managing classroom behaviour and expectations
  • Encouraging pupils to remain engaged with their learning
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff
  • Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff

Youdon’tneed to know every answer or be a specialist in every subject. What matters is being able to confidently manage a classroom, communicate clearly and provide consistency for pupils.
