Castle Dairies are an award-winning butter manufacturer based in Caerphilly, South Wales. We have an exciting opportunity for a Hygiene Operative to join our Hygiene team. This is a full-time permanent position working Sunday to Thursday – 8.30pm to 5am.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Cleaning production lines and preparation areas to meet required standards
- Post cleaning checks to make sure everything has been completed properly
- Making sure that everything you do complies with company procedures for Health & Safety and Hygiene
- Ensuring that your cleaning and personal protective equipment are functioning correctly at all times
- The ability to work effectively under pressure of time
- Reporting any incidents or environmental concerns to your Hygiene manager.
- Performing daily/weekly/monthly cleaning of the production/packing areas. Including, but not exclusively, walls, ledges, floors, drains, platforms, pipes, covers, conveyor framework, door panels etc.
- Performing deep cleaning of production machinery not in operation as requested
- CIP Cleaning; Churn, Mixing lines, Silos, Blenders
- Ensure all cleaning is performed Safely and performed whilst always following the company risk assessments, SOP\’s
- Report any damage found to any item being cleaned immediately
- Perform cleaning activities to a high standard and ensure all records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Waste disposal, sweep floors/ wash floors, Adhere to PPE policies
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.60-£15.75 per hour
