We are looking for an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to lead our Stores and Spare Parts operation at our Padeswood site. This is an exciting opportunity to drive inventory optimisation, improve asset reliability, and play a key role in supporting operational and maintenance excellence. Reporting into the Plant Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of spare parts, materials and stores operations, balancing inventory reduction and working capital management whilst maintaining the highest levels of availability for our production assets. This role offers the opportunity to influence site performance through best practice warehouse management, SAP optimisation, process improvement and close collaboration with Engineering, Planning, Operations and Procurement teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory & Spare Parts Management: Manage the site stores operation to optimise spare parts availability while reducing inventory levels and working capital. Develop and implement a spare parts strategy aligned to Group Spare Parts Programme requirements. Ensure accurate stock control parameters and master data management within SAP. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce stock value while maintaining operational reliability. Establish and maintain robust forward planning processes to support maintenance and operational requirements. Support daily, weekly and shutdown maintenance planning through effective spare parts management and pick list preparation.
- Warehouse Operations: Lead the day-to-day operation of all warehouse and stores activities. Ensure compliance with company procedures, engineering standards, HTC MIP handbook requirements and Group Spare Parts Programme guidelines. Implement best practice storage solutions to maximise space utilisation and maintain stock integrity. Ensure stock audits, cycle counts and inventory checks are completed in line with company and group policies. Supervise and develop stores personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
- SAP & Systems Management: Manage and administer the MRP process to ensure timely procurement and replenishment of spare parts and materials. Collaborate closely with Managers, Engineers and Planners to prevent stock shortages and overstocking. Develop the SAP MM module to improve inventory workflows and operational efficiency. Investigate and implement new technologies to improve goods receipt, stock issuing, stock returns and inventory control processes. Ensure all warehouse data is accurate, up to date and supports effective decision-making.
- Procurement & Supplier Management: Deliver local procurement activities for spare parts, materials, equipment and services not managed through central procurement. Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and reliable supply. Develop and manage consignment stock arrangements using SAP functionality to improve stock visibility and control costs. Work closely with Procurement and end users to ensure seamless service delivery and support operational needs.
