The role
The DeputyHeadteacher will work in close partnership with the Headteacher to providestrategic and operational leadership across the school. The successful candidate will:
- helpshape and deliver the school’s vision, priorities and improvement plans;
- providevisible, credible and values-led leadership for pupils, staff and families;
- leadthe continued development of consistently high-quality teaching and learning;
- useevidence, evaluation and pupil information intelligently to identify prioritiesand secure improvement;
- promotehigh expectations for pupils’ achievement, behaviour, attendance, personaldevelopment and wellbeing;
- developcolleagues through coaching, professional dialogue, clear expectations andhigh-quality professional learning;
- contributeto the effective leadership and management of staff, resources, systems andday-to-day school operations;
- buildpositive relationships with parents, carers and the wider community;
- supporta strong, inclusive and child-centred safeguarding culture;
- deputisefor the Headteacher when required; and
- fulfilthe professional responsibilities of a Deputy Headteacher in accordance withthe School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
The DeputyHead has a teaching commitment in Key Stage 2, enabling the successful candidate to model excellent classroom practice and remain closely connected topupils, colleagues and the curriculum.
