About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Deputy Chief Pilot to join our Flight Operations team. This role supports the Chief Pilot in the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of all flying operations, while acting as a senior leader and mentor within the pilot group. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support both strategic and day to day decision making within the department.
Essential Requirements
- AW109 Type Rating (current and valid)
- Extensive operational experience in commercial rotary operations
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations, compliance, and safety management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and crew resource management skills
- Proven ability to support operational planning, pilot oversight, and safety standards
Desirable / Advantageous Qualifications
- AW139 Type Rating
- Multi Pilot rated and experienced
- Previous experience in a senior flight operations or training role
- Experience supporting SMS, compliance monitoring, or quality activities
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Chief Pilot in the management and oversight of all pilot operations
- Act as deputy during absence of the Chief Pilot
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the pilot team
- Assist with pilot scheduling, rostering, and operational planning
- Contribute to the Safety Management System, training oversight, and continuous improvement
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and operational performance
