Experienced specifically in the design, development, and manufacture of ceramic core dies, wax pattern dies, mould tools, and associated tooling fixtures for the investment casting industries in the aerospace and IGT sectors.

Role:

  • Experienced in producing 3D CAD models using Solidworks (other formats considered), detailed engineering manufacturing drawings, and technical presentations.
  • Generating bills of material and technical procurement.
  • Creating and managing change requests where required.
  • Active involvement with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Active participation in internal and external face-to-face liaison and electronic meetings.
  • Active participation in the development of tooling quotation packages.

Experience:

  • Ideally, at least 5 years of proven industry experience in the subject role or a similar design role, ideally 3-5 years experience on a range of ceramic core dies, wax pattern dies, and associated tooling in mould tool design.
  • Educated to HNC/Degree level in a suitable technical subject or a time-served apprentice, preferably in the toolmaking industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering effective engineering solutions within cost, time, and quality requirements.

Requisites:

  • Highly motivated, pro-active, self-starter.
  • 3D CAD experience such as Solidworks is essential.
  • Able to work as an individual or part of a team to tight deadline targets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Good IT literacy with MS Office skills.
