A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a property savvy Part‑Time Bookkeeper to join a fast‑growing and dynamic Property Investment firm based in the heart of London. Over the years, the business has grown significantly and now manages multiple companies and investment streams, including several joint ventures at different stages of development. The diverse and ever‑evolving portfolio offers the right candidate a stimulating platform to make a real impact.

We are looking for a self‑motivated Bookkeeper to work two full days per week and help support the business with day‑to‑day financial operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconciling bank accounts, petty cash, and credit card expenses
  • Posting purchase invoices across the group
  • Maintaining accurate records across multiple companies and property portfolios
  • File confirmation statements across the portfolio
  • Quarterly & Year‑End Accounts
  • Assisting in the preparation of quarterly management accounts
  • Supporting the production of year‑end accounts for several entities
  • Liaising with external accountants where required
  • VAT
  • Assisting with VAT return preparation and ensuring timely submissions
  • Maintaining accurate VAT records in line with HMRC requirements
  • Ensuring correct VAT treatment across multiple property types and investment structures
  • Rents & Loans
  • Assisting with monthly rental income and expense reports
  • Monitoring loan payments and accounting for interest/principal transactions
  • Allocating income and expenditure accurately across individual properties and entities
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience working within a property company
  • Sound knowledge of VAT processes
  • Experience in dealing with loans and lenders
  • Comfortable operating in a growing business with evolving systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero
  • Excellent Excel skills and solid IT proficiency
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, independent work ethic with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

A short bookkeeping test will be part of the interview process to assess practical ability.
