Castell Howell Foods is Wales’ leading independent food service wholesaler, servicing the length and breadth of Wales, the Border Counties and the South West of England. We currently have a vacancy for a Production Operative based at our meat processing plant Celtica, in Cross Hands.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce mixes in a controlled environment to exact recipes according to daily orders and traceability
- Ensure all prestart checks are completed
- Observe the correct method and implementation of packaging and labelling
- Follow and monitor a daily and weekly cleaning schedule
- Maintain stock rotation according to correct storage of food products
Some previous butchery experience would be beneficial along with the ability to operate production equipment. You should show attention to detail, be adaptable and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Full training will be provided.
What we offer:
- £35,685 per annum
- 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays. You may be required to work some Bank Holidays.
