Castell Howell Foods is Wales' leading independent food service wholesaler, servicing the length and breadth of Wales, the Border Counties and the South West of England. We currently have a vacancy for a Handyperson based from the Cross Hands depot.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Handyperson who has good general DIY skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to use simple IT systems.
- You will provide planned and reactive general maintenance across our sites in Carmarthenshire, Merthyr Tydfil, Hirwaun, Pontyclun and Llandeilo.
- This role will involve a vast variety of general work such as laying carpets, hanging and re-fixing items to walls, painting and decorating, office refurbishment, basic plumbing tasks, replacing/fixing doors, general gardening and any other related duties.
- You will also be required to assist the fabrication operation with projects and install.
- You will be happy to work in all weathers, indoors and outdoors and on occasion working at height.
- The ideal Handyperson will be someone with previous experience in a similar all-round general maintenance role and be comfortable working within active business premises.
Relevant apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications and/or adequate proven experience within one or more of the following areas are advantageous: Carpentry, Plumbing, Painting.
