We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer with experience in both hydraulics and electrical systems to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background to contribute to the efficient operation and maintenance of our equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults promptly.
- Ensure machinery and equipment are running at optimal efficiency, minimizing downtime.
- Work with a range of electrical components, motors, drives, and control systems.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and inspections on hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Provide technical support to production teams as required.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing hydraulic systems and electrical components.
- Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, motors, drives, and control systems.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, electrical fault finding, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with industrial automation systems is a plus.
- Strong communication and team-working abilities.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Basic Shift Pattern: "3 on, 4 off" (Rotating Days/Nights) Overtime is paid at time and a half for your first 12 hours, anything over 48 hours is paid at double time.
