Producing quality castings while working high chrome cast iron, ni-hard iron, tool steels, and low alloy steels.

PAY RANGE is £35,000-£55,000 GBP

Part I - Position Purpose

Reporting to the Managing Director, the outside Foundry Sales Manager will be responsible for maximizing sales into the Foundry keeping team updated on prospecting sales activity. Developing New Business, Building and sustaining relationships, Prospecting, Monitoring, and tracking monthly sales. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our company. This position is expected to travel 50% of the time.

Part II - Job Functions

  • Provide product, service, or equipment technical information by answering questions and sales inquiries
  • Communicate with customers and engineers to assess casting needs and to determine fit.
  • Work with customers and engineers to develop casting requirements
  • Develop technical information for sales team training
  • Assist with development of strategies and techniques for achieving the sales goals
  • Investigate potential customers and generate leads
  • Assist with the development of sales presentations and proposals.
  • Develop customer and prospect communications.
  • Actively service customers, generate quotes, and attend trade shows/meetings.
  • Participate in business development strategy planning.
  • Attend inter-departmental meetings to generate new ideas, strategies and opportunities for the company and maintain communication flow between departments.
  • 80% of this role will be to secure new industrial accounts for the company to achieve sales goals and profit sales.
  • 20% of this role will manage existing accounts.
  • Demonstrate basic foundry knowledge and capabilities to prospective and current clients and travel to regional and national trade shows.
  • Develop sales and marketing plans, formulate proposals, and provide industrial expertise on sales calls.
  • Identify additional sales opportunities outside of traditional channels.
  • Communicate regularly with different departments throughout the company to support the customer and ensure the sales process is smooth from start to finish.

Part III - Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Technical Management, Sales or related preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in outside sales in an industrial organization, metal casting or related is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team
  • Familiarity with Casting/Foundries & related business practices
  • Valid Drivers license and willingness to travel.
  • Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets with excellent follow through and follow up
  • Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations.
