Warehouse Shift Manager (AM Shift)
Manchester
6am – 2pm, Monday to Friday
At Cast UK, we partner with market-leading businesses to find the best talent in Supply Chain & Logistics. We\’re proud to be recruiting on behalf of a reputable Healthcare Distribution company that plays a vital role in delivering essential products to healthcare providers across the UK.
Due to continued growth, they\’re looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager to lead their AM operation from 6am to 2pm at their Manchester facility.
The Role:
As Warehouse Shift Manager, you\’ll take full responsibility for the efficient running of the morning shift. You\’ll lead, motivate and develop a team to meet performance KPIs while ensuring all operations are conducted in line with health & safety, compliance and service level expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day warehouse operations for the AM shift
- Supervise and motivate a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring high productivity and morale
- Ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor stock integrity, investigate discrepancies, and liaise with inventory teams
- Provide regular reports to the Warehouse Manager and support wider business projects
About You:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or shift management role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment
- Knowledge of health & safety and warehouse best practices
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Experience within a healthcare, pharmaceutical or similar distribution environment is desirable but not essential
