Cast UK are seeking an experienced Transport Planner with exposure to Hiab and/or Flatbed haulage to oversee our client's fleet operations, ensuring the smooth and cost-effective movement of goods and services. If you have operated in a fast-paced environment within construction, rail, manufacturing, engineering or event sectors and have a passion for logistics, building relationships and negotiating, this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and manage fleet operations to meet delivery deadlines and customer expectations.
- Monitor and allocate vehicles, routes, and drivers for maximum efficiency.
- Supervise and support drivers, addressing issues and maintaining high morale.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Analyse data to improve fleet performance and reduce operational costs.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and third-party providers.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in fleet planning, logistics, or a similar role - experience of Hiab and or Flatbed is essential.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and tools.
