Technical Compliance Officer
Romford, Essex
£35,000 – £40,000 + Benefits
Role Profile
Cast UK are supporting a growing family business in their recruitment for a Technical Compliance Officer. Reporting into the Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the products meet the highest standards of compliance with BRCGS, ISO and GMP, alongside bespoke customer requirements. The role is primarily based at Romford but will include sporadic travel to other sites as needed. You will typically work Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Manufacturing and warehousing with technical issues, internal audits, and traceability exercises.
* Maintain internal systems to meet BRCGS & ISO and customer compliance requirements.
* Log and investigate non-conformances.
* Support routine GMP, hygiene, and procedural audits.
* Liaise with production and other teams on compliance issues.
* Work cross-functionally to uphold and improve site standards.
* Write and develop company systems & procedures in line with BRCGS, ISO, and customer requirements.
* Serve as the technical key contact for the factory, addressing technical issues and queries.
* Manage customer contacts, queries, and investigations.
* Support internal/procedure audits and manage Sedex & ethical trading compliance requirements.
* Assist in raw material data and specification management within procedure compliance.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience working in a similar role, ideally within a Manufacturing business
* Working knowledge of BRCGS, ISO and GMP standards
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to influence and engage with stakeholders
* Strong time management skills with ability to prioritise effectively
* Driving license with own transport would be highly advantageous
