Material Planning Analyst Birmingham, UK Hybrid £26,000 + benefits ASAP start Our client is a highly successful wholesaler with a site based in Birmingham. They are currently looking to appoint a talented material planning analyst with meticulous attention to detail and excellent supplier relationship management. Key responsibilities will include: Examining historical data and market trends to ensure a consistent and stable supply of products. Tracking inventory levels to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid overstock or shortages. Applying inventory control strategies to reduce waste and holding costs. Working closely with suppliers to guarantee the timely delivery of materials and products. Assessing supplier performance and collaborate with procurement teams to build strong supplier partnerships. Evaluating supply chain data to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Creating and present reports on inventory status, supplier performance, and other critical metrics. Identifying and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain processes. Partnering with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and reduce costs. Following established procedures to support export and dropship activities, with a strong emphasis on detail and documentation requirements. The successful candidate will demonstrate: A level standard or equivalent. CIPS desirable but not necessary Proven experience within a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering environment Proficiency in supply chain management software (Microsoft Dynamics, AX and 365 with specific emphasis on Microsoft Excel) High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing inventory and supply chain processes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
