Temporary Junior Buyer Heywood £Hourly rate equivalent to £33k An industry leading, engineering manufacturing organisation is looking to appoint a Junior Buyer to support its purchasing and supply chain operations. Working within a global supplier network, the successful candidate will help ensure materials are available on time, at the right quality and cost, while upholding strong supplier relationships and supporting ongoing improvements across the purchasing and supply chain function. This is a temporary role so ideally we're looking for candidates who are readily available to interview and start at short notice. Key Responsibilities Raise, manage and monitor purchase orders, ensuring materials are ordered in line with business requirements and purchasing procedures. Liaise with a global supplier base to getting quotations, order confirmations, delivery updates aligning with lead times and resolve queries. Chase outstanding orders and proactively manage overdue deliveries to ensure material availability. Monitor inventory levels and replenishment stock, working closely with Planning and Production to maintain supply.
