Our client is a well established company operating within a highly regulated distribution environment and is looking to appoint a Buying Assistant to play a key role within their procurement function. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, analytical and detail-oriented individual to join a specialist purchasing team, supporting the sourcing and supply of products within a global market.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate product enquiries using databases and other information sources to identify global availability, requested brands and suitable alternatives.
- Take ownership of allocated customer enquiries from start to finish, ensuring responses are accurate, timely and comprehensive.
- Liaise with buyers to obtain product pricing and availability information, collating findings and presenting options to customers.
- Maintain accurate product, supplier and enquiry records across internal systems, spreadsheets and databases.
- Support the import approval process for unlicensed medicinal products, maintaining relevant records and liaising with internal stakeholders.
- Review, analyse and input data to support the wider purchasing and logistics function.
- Assist with departmental projects and ad hoc administrative requirements as needed.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proficient using Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Proactive mindset.
