Are you an experienced Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader looking for your next challenge? We’re working with a well-established and growing organisation that is looking to appoint a Warehouse Supervisor at its operation in Theale. This is a key role within the warehouse operation Goods In team, responsible for leading a team and ensuring the effective receipt, storage, control and movement of stock. You’ll play an important role in maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, service and performance across the warehouse.
The Role
- Lead, motivate and manage a team of Warehouse Operatives and Team Leaders
- Oversee Goods In, ensuring products are received, checked, booked and located accurately
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock reconciliation
- Ensure stock is correctly managed in terms of quantity, location and condition
- Monitor KPIs and drive team performance against agreed targets
- Ensure receipt, storage and despatch processes are followed correctly
- Coach, train and develop warehouse colleagues
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and ensure procedures are followed
- Monitor attendance, performance and conduct in line with company policies
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce stock loss and increase operational efficiency
- Work closely with Stock Control, Operations, Warehouse Management and other internal teams
- Ensure customer service and service-level expectations are consistently achieved
About You
We’re looking for someone with previous experience working within a warehouse environment at Team Leader or Supervisory level. You’ll ideally have:
- Previous warehouse supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good Microsoft Office / PC skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to use your own initiative
- A strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- The ability to coach, motivate and manage a warehouse team
- A reliable, enthusiastic and trustworthy approach
- A Reach FLT / Counterbalance licence would be advantageous.
