Cast UK is hiring a Purchasing Manager to oversee and manage commercial agreements and supplier relationships for a well-established and growing Lancashire-based business. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you'll be responsible for both direct and indirect procurement and driving supply chain efficiencies. The role is Monday to Friday, with a hybrid working model of 2 days per week WFH.
Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with materials management, supply planning and operations
- Working closely with Group Procurement on contracts
- Optimise supplier relationships, driving cost and supply chain efficiencies
- Where appropriate, source new suppliers across both direct and indirect categories
- Ensure purchase orders and relevant documentation are raised and actioned in a timely manner
- Support property management with business rates, rental reviews, disposals and dilapidations
- Maintain supplier price files in the system
- Complete new supplier documentation and onboard new suppliers
- Conduct quarterly key supplier reviews
- Maintain relevant vendor master data in the system
- Support NPD and innovation
Key Skills and Experience
- Strong Purchasing background with proven record of supplier management
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills are essential
- Background working in FMCG Manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous
- Demonstrable experience delivering cost savings across suppliers whilst maintaining service and quality focus
- Experience sourcing and onboarding new international suppliers
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Previous experience using ERP (ideally SAP) would be desirable
