An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a large-scale, highly automated logistics operation in the Cambridgeshire area as part of a major operational transformation programme.
We are recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Manager, working Monday to Friday on a rotating shift of 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm to lead high-performing warehouse operations within a fast-paced distribution environment processing significant annual volume across a modern logistics facility.
This is a hands-on leadership role managing teams of between 20-30 operatives per shift, requiring strong operational presence, excellent people leadership and the ability to drive standards, performance and change from day one.

- 100,000 pallet capacity site
- Circa 400,000 sq ft operation
- 1.8 million pallets processed annually
- Significant automation investment programme
- SAP and WMS implementation projects underway
- AI-driven operational systems being introduced

The Role
Reporting into senior operational leadership, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of your shift operation, ensuring service, productivity, safety and people performance targets are consistently achieved.
This role requires an individual who can lead from the front, motivate teams and use data to make effective operational decisions in a challenging and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 20-30 warehouse operatives
- Drive operational performance across safety, productivity and service
- Deliver strong people leadership and team engagement
- Support and embed operational change initiatives
- Use operational data and KPIs to improve performance
- Work closely with senior leadership on continuous improvement projects
