Materials Controller Walsall £35,000 to £38,000 + Benefits Role Profile An established industrial manufacturing business is looking for a BOM Item Master Controller to take ownership of Item Master data and Bill of Materials accuracy across its operation. This newly created role will reduce the administrative burden on an established engineering team, helping the business maintain accurate data, improve planning and keep work moving efficiently through manufacturing. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work across Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality and Finance to ensure ERP and MRP data is accurate, controlled and fit for purpose. Key Responsibilities Own and govern Item Master data integrity within the ERP system Create and maintain item records, including item types, units of measure, planning parameters, costing data, lead times, sourcing and lifecycle status Create, maintain and improve multilevel Bill of Materials structures for components, kits and assemblies Ensure Bill of Materials accuracy through new product introduction, production, engineering change and end of life stages Manage Bill of Materials versions, alternatives, effective dates, revision control, phantom assemblies, substitutes and configurable items Support engineering ...
