Our client has outgrown their current structure - margins are stretching, bottlenecks are surfacing, and systems need modernizing. Supporting customers across public and private sectors, throughout the UK, with focus from the London HQ, this exciting opportunity will be highly autonomous and well supported by an engaged and motivated leadership and operational team. You will be on the shop floor and out on site fixing processes, preparing systems, building team capabilities, and setting up a seamless handover for a permanent successor.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Transformation: Streamline manufacturing and installation operations to support scaling.
- Recover Margin: Pinpoint operational waste and execute rapid process fixes.
- Clear Bottlenecks: Build lean, repeatable processes where structure is currently lacking.
- Systems Preparation: Clean up and optimize workflows ahead of new software implementations.
- Build & Empower: Assess team structures, upskill staff, and establish long-term capability.
- Deliver Handover: Ensure a seamless transition to the incoming permanent leader.
Skills & Experience
- Hands-on SME Leadership: Proven track record transforming both manufacturing and field operations within a £10m-£20m business. Public / Private sector customer relationships an advantage.
- Systems Implementation: Experience restructuring processes for new software rollouts.
- People-First Approach: Inspiring leader who delegates well, builds morale, and puts purpose before process.
Location: Hybrid on-site presence in South London with regular factory and site visits.
