CassonX are delighted to be recruiting for a recognised Hedge Fund that specialises in Quant/Systematic strategies. This fund has grown significantly since COVID, offering a nimble yet boutique working environment. Their Long-Term Trend Following investment strategy in Futures (Exchange Traded Derivatives) has produced outstanding returns, rewarding their investors over the last couple of years.
To be considered for this role, CassonX are looking to identify someone with experience in supporting Listed Derivatives Trading, especially in a Futures Operations / Middle Office / Prime Brokerage role. The successful candidate should have 7+ years of exposure to supporting a variety of reconciliations and clearing related responsibilities for Futures products like Stocks, Rates, and Commodities.
They would ideally prefer candidates from another Hedge Fund, but will also consider those from Investment Banks, Brokers, or Futures Commission Merchants (FCM) who have performed trade lifecycle type Operations roles and possess strong Excel skills. Note that programming skills are not required as there is a separate Quant team supporting their algorithms.
Preference will be given to those with advanced academics. The role is very much a “hands on” position, working directly with the owner and CIO of the fund, sitting in the Front Office to ensure that all Systematic trading is completed and supported. There are no Traders in this firm as everything is algorithmic trade execution, and you will directly support that style, ensuring all daily post-trade lifecycles are correct with their Clearing Broker and Fund Administrator.
The firm is currently in the process of changing their executing firm and is considering moving into Digital Assets (Crypto) as part of their strategy, providing an opportunity to be involved in these projects and broaden your knowledge.
It is essential for the successful individual to help build a “best in class” operations function, guiding them on what good looks like in operations while maintaining a hands-on approach.
A job description and company name will only be shared with those who submit a relevant CV. CassonX Limited are committed to providing fair employment opportunities to all applicants. We encourage anyone to apply, regardless of their background, and promote a fair and inclusive recruitment process based on merit. If you require any assistance throughout the interview process to improve your experience, kindly let us know.
