Job Description
CassonX are delighted to be recruiting for a highly experienced Hedge Fund specialist who offers well rounded knowledge of how Hedge Funds work and what is needed to be successful. Working for this major name in the Hedge Fund world will give you opportunity to partner with many different funds, directly working with the Sales team (note this is not a sales role) but being a strategic element to how they can grow revenues as a company. This award wining business offers hybrid working conditions and the opportunity to see all avenues of the market across Fund Accounting/Administration, Transfer Agency and Middle Office, coupled with a string appreciation for Technology to enhance their propositions.

To be considered for this truly exciting role, CassonX are looking to identify someone who boasts a varied background in Hedge Funds, seeing all things to do with Operations and maybe Accounting / Product Control / Technology etc. Your varied background will see you achieve a senior role in Hedge Funds, probably operating as COO or Global Head of Operations for a larger fund, or maybe even working in Operational Due Diligence or Hedge Fund focussed Fund Administration firm, giving you a wide breadth of knowledge on the mechanics of how Hedge Funds work and what they need from service providers to be successful. Your knowledge will include various types of fund strategies as well as various asset classes.
The purpose of this role is identify, research, analyse and deliver solutions as to how their business could be more competitive in the industry and be better at what they do. This will involve partnering with the sales team, gaining valuable competitor information, and speaking with existing and potential clients as to how their proposition could become stronger to aid growth in revenues. As a Product Specialist, this could include everything from creating new service offerings for supporting new strategies, to identifying how they can take on more responsibilities for their customers, to creating new technology solutions (including building propriety technology or acquiring technology providers) as example. Where you have extensive experience and gravitas, using your “business acumen” you will look to improve solutions to the clients, working with many senior stakeholders to influence and successfully deliver upon the new ideas generated.
