CassonX are absolutely delighted to be recruiting for this prestigious Tier 1 business that is globally one of the most recognised names in the Hedge Fund Community. This alternative fund manager combines relative value and direct trading, through a global macro strategy, looking to generate outstanding returns that are uncorrelated and well above the benchmarks. Boasting over 200 staff globally and managing north of €15bn in AUM, this firm rewards its staff with long term career aspirations, well above market average total compensation, a highly collegiate environment, and the chance to move internally when the opportunity arises.

CassonX must express that it is essential that every candidate who is wanting to consider this role must be able to demonstrate outstanding education, including at least a 2.1 level degree in a STEM subject from Russell Group or international equivalent, and excellent A-Levels (or international equivalents) in academic subjects. You must also be able to showcase experience in a similar Operations role, ideally from a buyside firm, but they might consider those from the sell side (Prime Brokerage). You will have strong OTC Derivatives knowledge, especially if complex products or Fixed Income focused, and exceptional post-trade support to Traders.

Candidates will be overlooked for this role if you do not meet the educational criteria, but worth noting we do have other roles in the hedge fund community that we could consider you for. A detailed job description is available to those who showcase a relevant CV, but working in a pre- and post-trade role supporting a number of asset classes, some responsibilities include:

  • Design, prioritisation, build and perform daily controls through a suite of reconciliations (position, trade, cash) across Equities, FI, Rates, Credit and Commodities asset classes
  • Providing extensive core operational input to the continued build-out of infrastructure across the business, working with both technology and external vendors to build out efficient and scalable processes across both new and existing product verticals
  • Management of daily OTC/Exchange margin calls across the firm
  • Review of breaks in electronic affirmation platforms (Traiana, CTM, TRM/Harmony, MarkitWire, PB portals)
  • Ensure oversight and appropriate escalation responses are in place for all post-trade processes performed by the third-party administrator
  • Lifecycle processing support (e.g. Succession Events, Corporate Actions, Credit Events), including managing all rights under events trading strategies

CassonX Limited are committed to providing fair employment opportunities to all applicants. We encourage anyone to apply, regardless of their background, and promote a fair and inclusive recruitment process based on merit. If you require any assistance throughout the interview process to improve your experience, kindly let us know.
